 Shaun recently joined PJA Technical Consult, bringing with him 28 years of experience in the private construction sector, with extensive work across the UK as well as international projects in the Middle East and Africa.

A highly experienced HVAC and MEP engineer, Shaun has successfully delivered complex projects in the UK across commercial, residential, retail, education, and infrastructure sectors — alongside major international developments including large-scale shopping centres, residential communities, hospitality, and specialist infrastructure.

Shaun is well regarded for his ability to design efficient, practical, and innovative mechanical systems. He combines strong technical leadership with a hands-on approach and attention to detail, ensuring that every project is delivered to the highest standard. His proven track record includes leading multi-disciplinary project teams, engaging with clients and stakeholders, and providing engineering solutions that meet both performance and budget expectations.

At PJA Technical Consult, Shaun enhances the team’s mechanical and HVAC design capabilities, supporting clients with detailed design engineering, testing and commissioning, MEP budgeting, and project management services.

  Gary Finch is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with extensive knowledge and experience in the consultancy sector. Throughout his distinguished career, Gary has worked with numerous leading consultancies, delivering exceptional results across all sectors of the industry.

His comprehensive expertise spans a wide range of mechanical engineering disciplines, from complex HVAC systems to cutting-edge sustainable building solutions. Gary’s dedication to innovation and excellence ensures that every project benefits from his strategic insights and meticulous attention to detail.

As a key member of our team, Gary plays a pivotal role in driving our mechanical consultancy services to the highest standards, providing our clients with solutions that are efficient, sustainable, and tailored to their specific needs.

Steve holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and brings over 10 years of experience in the design and delivery of electrical building services across a wide range of sectors, including residential, commercial, mixed-use, education, and office fit-outs.

Steve has worked on major projects both in the UK and internationally, gaining extensive hands-on experience across new-build and refurbishment developments. His overseas work includes large-scale residential towers, commercial offices, retail complexes, and public buildings, where he was responsible for leading design, coordination, and site delivery for electrical and ELV systems.

Steve's technical expertise covers low-voltage system design, metering systems, BMS integration, load assessments, cable sizing, lux level and voltage drop calculations, as well as the production of detailed schematics and installation drawings. 

He is also experienced in project tendering, cost estimation, and working directly with contractors and consultants to deliver compliant, efficient solutions.

Notable UK projects include Whitehall Riverside in Leeds, Tower Works, Mustard Wharf, and Blackhorse Mills in London. Steve  plays a key role in delivering high-quality, reliable electrical design services to our clients.

 Elliot is a Building Services Engineer specialising in mechanical design across commercial, residential and healthcare sectors. With several years of hands-on design experience, more than a decade in the industry and a Bachelor’s degree in Building Services Engineering, he delivers ventilation, comfort cooling and public-health systems from concept through to construction. 

Elliot focuses on practical, buildable solutions rooted in UK standards and performance requirements. He is passionate about digital design workflows and continually develops new ways to improve efficiency, quality and coordination throughout projects.

Sophie started her career at the BBC managing the workload of the Engineering team before moving to The Hut Group.

Sophie has spent the last 6 years at Campfire, a social media agency she joined as a start up turning over £7k a month in 2020, now a business with an 8 figure valuation, working with world renowned brands like L’Oreal, Unilever, Dominos and Vimto in the UK, US and EMEA.

Sophie’s held a variety of roles during her time at Campfire; including Account Director, Business Director and most recently Commercial Director. She has a proven understanding in how to scale a business for sustainable growth and is now focusing her efforts on helping PJA do the same; working on the business, commercial and operational strategy.
